Travel to the northern border of Kenya to reach one of Kenya's most protected areas, the Samburu Game Reserve.

In the morning, travel by road to Kenya's northern frontier. Wild and rugged, Samburu is fiercely beautiful with its arid savannahs watered by the lovely Uaso Nyiro River. It is also one of Kenya's most protected areas and home to species only found north of the Equator; from the reticulated giraffe to Grevy's zebras and Beisa oryxes.

Dawn breaks in golden bands as you start your day in the bush scanning the river from your tent's veranda with a cup of steaming coffee in hand. Then set off in pursuit of the elephants, lions, leopards, and cheetahs that thrive in the reserve's grasslands and acacia woodlands. The rest of the day is spent exploring the bush and/or relaxing in your cozy camp or lodge.

Continue your trip to Lake Nakuru National Park where you can see over 400 species of birds congregated around the lake, making a brief stop at Nyahururu Thomson Fall.

After breakfast, drive down to the floor of the Great Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru National Park, making a brief stop at Nyahururu Thomson Falls. Arrive at your lodge/camp in time for lunch. The afternoon is spent on another exciting game drive in the Park. Besides the flamingos that the lake is famous for, there are approximate 400 other species of birds visiting the lake. In addition, there is plentiful wildlife to be found in the Park, including the introduced Rothschild's giraffe, Black and white Rhino, Waterbuck, Reedbuck, Lion, Buffalo, Leopard, Baboon and many species of plains game.
